Sundown in Marrakesh

This famous minaret was completed around 1195. It is 77 meters in height and no other buildings in Marrakech are allowed to be taller. Thankfully and curiously it remained sound despite the recent earthquake that damaged buildings in the vicinity. Our guide, Hicham, brought us to a rooftop restaurant right beside the minaret to enjoy the sight and consume more delicious Moroccan food. We are totally spoiled.Read more
