Victoria Falls Ground View Points

We were at the park gates at 6am today to beat the heat and explore the 16 viewpoints of the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the largest and most famous waterfalls in the world. This cascading pillar of water powering its way down a 100-meter chasm took our breath away as we gazed in awe at its incredible strength and beauty. The experience took us through parts of the Victoria Falls Rainforest. As we wandered through the pathway we could feel the cool spray from the falls on our faces and see rainbows forming. We also heard many species of birds singing. The majority of the viewpoints were located in Zimbabwe, while others could be viewed from the Zambian side. David Livingstone, a Scottish explorer and missionary is credited with being the first European to discover the falls in 1855.Leggi altro
