Chobe National Park Sunrise Game Drive

    December 13, 2024 in Botswana ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

We awoke early to head out on a sunrise game drive in the Chobe National Park. When asked by the guide what we wanted to see, we said a lion and a leopard. We sighted our first male lion 500 meters in and were in awe as we watched him breakfast on a buffalo he had taken down a few days earlier. Our guide showed us a variety of animal tracks and skull and bone remains as well as a variety of other extraordinary wildlife and birds. His knowledge was extensive and his enthusiasm was infectious. What a fabulous start to a day. Sadly, no leopards were sighted but we were thrilled with what we did see and learn.Read more
