We took the subway back to Kyoto station and then a bullet train to Osaka this morning (30 mins). We quickly dropped our luggage at the hotel and hopped on the subway to head to the Osaka Castle. This prominent landmark is a five-story castle with a rich history built in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and now houses a museum showcasing the castle’s history and the life of Hideyoshi.. it features 8 internal floors, featuring white plastered walls, dark wooden accents and gold leafed ornaments.
