Prambanan Hindu Temple Excursion

This afternoon we ventured to the Prambanan Hindu temple complex and wandered through the remains of some 244 temples, with 6 large ones towering out of the rubble. Built between the eighth and tenth century, it is the largest Hindu temple complex in Java and one of the most outstanding works of Hindu art, particularly the Shiva temple. The Roro Jongrang temple complex consists of 3 main temples, each representing an important Hindu God. Siva is in the middle, Brahma, to the left and Trimurti to the right.
