The Lama Temple, Beijing

This afternoon we visited the Lama Temple, the largest and most renowned Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet. What a magnificent site, which highlights five main halls with their side halls, Buddhist sculptures, stone carvings, and tablets in different languages. The buildings are so colourful and ornate, The unique architectural style integrates the architectural art of the Han, Manchu and Mongolian nationalities. We were given the opportunity to light incense and say prayers outside of the main buildings.Leer más
