    Xi’an City Wall

    May 21 in China ⋅ ☁️ 37 °C

Xi’an City wall, also known as the Fortifications of X’an, is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well as being one of the largest military defensive systems in the world. The wall is 12 meters high and 14 kilometres long. As one of the city’s cultural and historic landmarks, many people walk or bike around the perimeter to enjoy the interesting and different views of the old and new parts of Xi’an. We were disappointed that the biking option was not available to anyone over 65. Boo! It was 40 degree out today so we waited until 6pm to take our stroll and walked for one hour before we left for yet another magnificent evening show. Gotta love the women who dress up in China, as they sure add colour to the landscape and love to be photographed.Read more

TravelerAre these women performers, are they there for tourism, or is this actually how they dress
