Nordeste

The Azores are a Portuguese archipelago of 9 volcanic islands in the mid-Atlantic known for their dramatic, lush landscapes and opportunities for adventure. We are on our own for the next two days in Sao Miguel, the largest island, and booked a private tour to Nordeste for the day. Nordeste is in the eastern part of the island where the landscapes are different from the rest of the island- wilder, greener, and incredibly peaceful. The scenery was stunning, with viewpoints that just kept getting better at every stop. The highlight of the day, if I had to pick one, was Cascata da Ribeira dos Caldeiroes with its beautiful waterfalls and old mill. A truly enjoyable day!Leia mais
