Such a soundtrack in my head…

As I think about the 23 different trips, I made on houseboats here over 25 years, there’s quite a soundtrack in my head of the best worship songs, and honestly the best cathedral in all God‘s creation, singing under those starry nights! I even had a couple of bonus trips here, and I remember a special devotion that a high schooler gave here based on the song oceans by Hillsong.

Of course, the most important thing I learned here was a quote from one of our boat drivers back in the day : “It is not that God is more present to us at Lake Shasta, it is that we are more present to him…”.
