In the finish of the election campaign, the candidates came to Pennsylvania very often, so we were trying to find the possibility to get to one of the events. After a lot of research, we found out that Kamala Harris was going to be at a black church on Sunday just an hour before it started, so we rushed there. We were unsure about the information, as it was not confirmed, but there was a lot of police around and some streets were closed and we had to go through security once entering. The service started with one hour of singing, dancing and live music, which was again amazing, but also quite long and we were still not sure about being at the right place, but finally she was announced by the pastor.
People were super excited, applauding her and confirming every of her sentences, with some dissenting voices at some point.
Though her speech was not so impressive, it was quite cool to see her live.

After the church we went to the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed, and also to the Congress. We checked out the Liberty Bell and had a Philadelphia cheese steak (a huge amount of meat with melted cheese in a bun). We walked around in the center, saw the city hall, a nice market place and a portal to London.
In the afternoon we went to the Eastern State Penitentiary, a huge and impressive jail, which back then established a totally new form of jail. Al Capone was one of the inmates. There were some very interesting exhibitions and statistics about crime rate and incarceration in the US compared to the rest of the world. I really wouldn't have thought that I could spend 2-3 hours in a jail and still not be bored, but the whole building and history was quite fascinating.
