Fossil Butte National Monument

After surviving the night with snow, we went to see some fossils in the Fossile Butte Park. They had an amazing collection of fossils from the area, which was a lake a couple millions years ago. The skeletons and plants were amazingly preserved under the sediment. We also did a hike to an old quarry. There was a vitrine on the toilets with an exhibition of fossile poop, more than 500 pieces.
On the way to Utah we drove on a beautiful road, but had some nice weather and some traffic problems.Read more
