Walmart Canyon - AKA Walnut Canyon

We spent the night at Flagstaff, which is a town in a volcanic area, with several National Monuments around. National Monuments are like national parks, just smaller, and they can be named by the president.
The first monument we went to, was the Walnut Canyon. In the 1200s several hundred people lived in dwellings carved naturally into the rocks in the side of the canyon. The cliffs served as roof and back walls.Read more
