    Alcatraz

    We started the day at Alcatraz, went there with a ferry, where we were supposed to have a nice view on the bay and Golden Gate Bridge, but we still couldn't see anything because of the smog. We had an interesting audio tour and some exhibitions about the history of the island, we could enter some cells and learned about the mechanical cell door system, which was quite impressive. We also read about some crazy escape stories, where a guy made a mask of his face to trick the wards. On the way back to the mainland the view got clearer, we finally saw the bridge and the skyline.Read more
