    Made it to Washington! Flying first class on a plane with only 12 passengers? Yes please!
    On to the "How to get from here to Tacoma?" adventure. Why take an expensive shuttle or cab when there's a perfectly good $3.50 bus? My attempt to find a transfer bus resulted in free toffee, chocolate and directions to a free shuttle. Thank you super friendly candy ladies!Read more

    Eclectic coffeehouse and live music venue. The shops around here are in refurbished industrial buildings which make for some fun ogling. :-)

    The guys finished playing around 9 so we all headed over to Elemental Pizza for a late dinner. Eldon made it to day 2 of the tourney - yay! We celebrated with yummy pizza and Moscow mules!

    Cute little coffeehouse attached to the State History Museum and adjacent to the Glass Bridge. The staff is super nice and recommended their signature "brown sugar latte" - so good!
    Also, I've realized that most of my posts will involve foods or drinking in some way. And I'm perfectly ok with that. :-DRead more

  • Pike Place Chowder

    "Is that the line for the soup place?" A man, overly hangry was heard commenting as we waited for the best chowder in the world. As the pizza shop next door confirmed for the hangry customer that yes the line is always this long and most of the time longer we continued to wait. We ordered a corn chowder and scallop chowder and the food was incredible and worth the wait.Read more
