Rugby and Coventry

Starting to head north:

Visited Rugby (the town where rugby was invented), but unfortunately everything was closed. However did see a few interesting statues and plaques in the street.
Moved on to Coventry, had a walk around the cathedral, which was targeted in the blitz and rebuilt retaining the surviving walls, where I received a suprise choir concert. Also went to the Herbert museum where I met Dippy the Diplodocus.

Fun Fact of the day: the game of rugby was named after the town of rugby which was named after the de Rokeby family, who had their 13th century moated manor house there.Read more
