Berlin to Wuppertal

Meeting my German family

Left Berlin in the morning and met the family I will be staying with in Wuppertal (courtesy of Luise who we met while she was also backpacking in her uni break). We went to dinner at a restaurant that used to be the building that enclosed the towns indoor public pool. Traditional German dinner, very delicious! We were then shown some of the family's favourite bars on a "pub crawl".

Fun fact of the day: Wuppertal used to be 2 different cities, which were combined into one metropolitan area under a new name in the early 1900s.Läs mer
