    OFF I GO…….

    October 17, 2024 in Isle of Man ⋅ 🌬 14 °C

Well here I am off on another solo adventure .. not entirely, I’m off to see Joe for three weeks with a solo 😬 week in Vietnam thrown in the mix.
My first stress is out of the way.. the plane from the IOM to Manchester wasn’t cancelled or even delayed, thank you Loganair 🤩..
having felt so proud that I fitted everything into my rucksack, I was feeling less impressed once I’d arrived at my hotel.. It is SO heavy. I didn’t dare take it off on the bus incase I couldn’t get it back on !!!
Having considered this an achievement I decided I deserved a pint of Guinness as a reward.. as well as booking a meal in the Restaurant as the set price menu looked amazing and I was starving.. .well so far so good.. hopefully the food lives up to my expectations …

  • Day 3

    October 20, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ 🌬 28 °C

Bit of a lie in this morning, was awake for a few hours in the night, but then fell asleep and didn’t wake up until 10 am 😳 hopefully I’m sorted now.
It’s been a fab day, bit of a breeze so more comfortable.. I’m determined I’m not going to moan about the heat after having none all summer..this made the walk from Joe’s to Sok Yu Wan more enjoyable.. or less sweaty!!
I’d forgotten just how beautiful and green everywhere is in Lamma.
We had a fabulous seafood lunch, only marred by my flicking a piece of squid across the table, .. I’m obviously out of practice with my chopsticks. .. The walk back was considerably hotter feeling and slower as i remembered to take some photos..
I’m now being spoiled, sitting here with a glass of wine and Joe working wonders in the kitchen.

  • Day 4

    October 21, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Not much to report on as I’m just chilling really.. It’s been a really hot day again, Joe went off to work 6 ish and I didn’t even hear him go, no idea why I’m so tired.
I decided to go for a walk over to Sok Ywu Wan again this morning, but take different routes on the Pak Kok to YSW ( can’t remember the spelling ) bits, I also wandered up a few side tracks for a look. The weather on the way out was hot but not sunny which was nice, the return very hot and very sunny 🌞, Was out for 21/2 hours which felt like enough to be honest as my fingers had gone fat 😳
The afternoon was taken up guiltily doing very little, some washing, reading, my daily squaredle etc., and generally mooching about before going to meet Joe off the ferry.. then dinner, glass of wine and Ted Lasso.. who could want more..

  • Day 5

    October 22, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

Probably going to sound a bit repetitive now… basically Joe was up and off to work soon after 6.. and I was up and on my walk soon after 9!! I did the same walk as yesterday, but enjoyed it more today. I think I’m acclimatising to the heat.. or rather my hands are 😳. Again it was pretty hot, but cloudy for the first hour before the sun was joining in.. pretty much the same scenario as yesterday until mid afternoon when I set off in an attempt to meet Joe from work.. it all went brilliantly, I got the ferry over, found the bus stop an even the correct bus!!! Quite impressive as when I get to the other side I seem to totally loose all sense of direction and everywhere looks the same.. caught up with Joe and headed off for dinner. Had a lovely, though more expensive meal than anticipated, but at least it was happy hour and I got two beers for the price of one.. happy days 😂
It seems bizarre ( coming from the Isle of Man ) that it’s no more than one or two degrees cooler in the evening... so still 27 / 28 on our journey home on the ferry … just about managed to stay awake for the next Ted Lasso instalment😂

  • Day 6

    October 23, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Can’t believe I’ve already been here for five days!!
Wasn’t sure whether to bother doing anything for today as I haven’t really done much different from yesterday… so apologies for the lack of pictures and if I’ve taken the same ones again..
Set off usual time for my walk, which was virtually the same, just changed a few little bits by trying out some different trails as I’m a little less worried about getting lost.. Athough every bit as warm today, it was actually quite windy in Pak Kok when I set off.. great I thought.. but for some bizarre reason it seemed to be the only place that was windy..
Another enjoyable walk, only realising how steep the hills are when you have to go down them! I thought my knee’s would be screaming, but they’re not, obviously the hotter climate suits them better…
Once again did all my routine puzzles with a cup of tea, negotiated Joe’s washing machine and did a few bits and bobs, including trying for ages to check in online for my flight to Vietnam on Friday, only to eventually be told I had to do it at the desk at the airport 🙄
I don’t know where the time went, because suddenly it seemed time to go and meet up with Joe.
Another lovely evening with Joe followed by two episodes of Ted ( Joe is working from home tomorrow, so not such an early start ).. living the dream 😃😂

  • Day 7

    October 24, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 24 °C

Another beautiful day in paradise.. I headed off as usual, no detours today as I wanted to be back to get sorted and head to YSW for lunch with Joe…Windy to start, but became only slightly breezy and very warm.
Puzzles, showers, washing sorted later and Joe and I head off for a fab lunch in the village.. bought out provisions for dinner and headed home, Joe to work for a couple of hours and me checking my details to head off to Vietnam tomorrow… eeek … even though I’m convinced I did, it turns out I hadn’t added my baggage ( I did !!! ) to my flight and when i went to add it online today it wouldn’t let me 😳😳.. massive panic later and it seems I am now headed off with just an embarrassingly small rucksack to stay in a reasonably fancy hotel for a week .. omg 😧
Couple of glasses of wine later and I’m unsure if I’m stressed or proud 😂
Fab salmon dinner, but if sound of music, Ted Lasso and more wine and everything seems not quite so bad.., for now 🤪

  • Day 8

    October 25, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Today has been a travel day.. with a few stresses and Joe telling me I’m a catastrophist( is there such a thing ?? ) and that he wouldn’t like to be in my head because It’s too busy and there’d be no peace 😳😂.. but .. he has been absolutely amazing today.. think we had a bit if a role reversal 😂THANK YOU JOE 🥰
I set off from Pak Kok this morning with even Katie saying she’d never seen anyone travelling so light !!
All went ok .. I panicked they’d say my tiny bag was too big for the free carry on hand bag.. they didn’t !
I arrived in Vietnam ok.. panicking that seemingly everyone else had extra paperwork to hand over at Immigration and I didn’t! … it was ok!
Spent the trip to the hotel convinced they wouldn’t have held my booking because i wasn’t paying until i arrived!!.. they did!
Fab hotel, lovely room.. go to put my phone on charge.. yep! Wrong adapter as I have the newer connector on my phone 😩..
Popped to reception to see if they knew the nearest place I could get one and the fabulous girls on reception ( they’d already helped me earlier with the money) Lent me one, I just have to hand it back when I leave..
Big girl pants on and off I head to find somewhere to eat and have a “ Dr’s orders “ recovery beer!!!
Excellent inexpensive food and beer was found close by, though I was seemingly the only sad one person table in the place.. no worries, it will get easier ( I hope ) now the first one is done 😃

  • Day 9

    October 26, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ 🌧 24 °C

Well … today has mostly been about very heavy rain. Oh and beer in between the EVEN heavier rain….
Breakfast was impressive.. unfortunately I’m not a big breakfast person ( big shame ).. but lasagna, fried rice etc,, for breakfast ?? Really 🤔.. but the coffee was great and I don’t usually drink coffee!!
I set off after breakfast to explore my surroundings and get a few essentials due to my minimal baggage 🙄 despite the rain.. which got heavier and heavier…
Had a pit stop at “ roots “ plant based cafe.. a fabulous green smoothie bowl ( minus the banana ) a bit of a dry off, and some WiFi ( I have an Asian SIM card , so not really an issue ) later and it was back out into the rain… I sussed out where i could go to watch the MotoGP race tomorrow and then unbelievably found my way back to the hotel.. because I was soaking wet, i considered forgetting the sprint race and just going tomorrow.. but.. who needs an afternoon in a foreign country sat in the hotel missing it just because it’s raining, albeit very heavily 😳.. so off I trudge.. Scallywags it was for the next couple of hours.. MotoGP on the tv and beer at £1.67 pint, who could blame me 😂……
That said, I did stay a bit longer than planned as the rain was unbelievable…no excuses 🤪
Dinner was where I went last night as it was so good and so close to the hotel..
Not really done a lot , it been out snd about for most of the day.. also booked a day hike for Thursday.. it’s supposed to rain slightly less that day.. we’ll see….

  • Day 10

    October 26, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ 🌧 24 °C

Just woken up realising I hadn’t done today’s instalment 😳…
Well.. today had mostly been about b heavy rain and high winds.. but this intrepid explorer braved both 😂
I actually was quite glad about the weather this morning as I had a really bad stomach ( too much inflammation, I know 😳 ) and it made me feel less guilty staying in…
I decided I felt ok by lunchtime and thought I’d head off too Roots for a late bite for lunch and then head to Scallywags for the MotoGP!!..
possibly due to the big storms in the night Scallywags was closed 😳.. no MotoGP, but it did get me out, even if I was absolutely soaked by the time I got there 🙄.. on my way back the rain briefly stopped , so I took a walk along the beach for an hour or so…
Not the beach pictures I was expecting.. but it did dry everything except my trainers off😂
Due to a late lunch, the continued heavy rain and not feeling hungry, i decided just to go to the to ghetto rooftop bar for a beer 🍺..
I ended up chatting to a family from Scotland, Liverpool supporters, TT fans and one of them in the fire brigade.. waffled my way through talking about them all like i knew what I was talking about before making my escape.. 😳

  • Day 11

    October 28, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Here we are again.. I know this is all pretty boring, it’s just so that I can look back and remember my trip, so apologies..
Today i decided to opt for a bit of culture, so off I went this morning to the Ho Chi Mihn Museum. It was hard to judge on the map how far it was and if I’d be able to walk on the big road that crosses the river, so I opted for a taxi there. Very nice driver again, but I do find it difficult when they keep trying to pin you down to them taking you to the various sights and nearby places.
The museum was really interesting, though in the whole 2 1/2 hours I was there, I only saw one other visitor, or person in general!! We had to speak in the end as it was starting to feel weird, sort of nodding whenever we passed each other.
Due to it NOT raining!!!! and my not being in a hurry to get anywhere, i decided to attempt to walk back.. I not only did it ( my sense of direction is awful, ) but I managed to divert off to my new favourite cafe 😊
Walking for an hour or so in my sliders in the heat possibly wasn’t one of my wisest decisions, but I was giving my trainers an opportunity to dry!
Well.. as predicted, they’ve rubbed me 🙄 so I decided to head to the beach and walk back on the sand so that I could remove them.
I also thought that this might possibly be my only chance to get on the beach when it’s not raining. I ended up walking for another hour and 1/2, it was really quite hot and the water was seriously warm!!
Back to my room for a nana nap and off to the other place I eat, it’s always full of locals, so I guess that’s a good sign.. though the same lad that has served me each evening came to meet me and knew what I wanted to drink ( its not even a small place 😱 ) he’s so friendly and helpful.. I make sure it’s him that gets my bill so that I can tip him.
Anyway, it’s nearly bedtime snd I’ve got my day out tomorrow to start stressing about. .. I’m worried I might be sick in the pick up bus going 😳😳

I’ve been a bit rubbish with the photos today, I’ll try harder tomorrow 👍🏼

  • Day 12

    October 29, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ 🌧 24 °C

Earlier start today.. picked up at 7.30 for the Ba Na hills trip i booked myself on to.. there was me rushing back up to my room to grab my sunglasses because it was so hot and sunny even then!… move forward 2 hours and I’m buying a full length must have fashion accessory for visiting Vietnam in the rainy season 😂
My fears of yesterday were unfounded.. despite bringing tissues and a couple of plastic bags.. I wasn’t sick .. didn’t even feel sick 🤢..
Fashion accessory fitted .. it’s now obviously raining and it’s off i go to face my next fear.. the cable car!!! 😳😳
I’ve never been able to go on one before as they terrify me.. that and heights, not a winning combination at this point of the trip..
once again.. massive big girl pants and on, and on I get, seriously hoping i don’t squeal or pass out and totally embarrass myself!!
    It was amazing!!!
Once at the top it was really cold , or rather none of us were quite prepared for how wet windy and foggy it was. Such a shame as the views would have been amazing..
Obviously I did the wine cellar tour, not for the free glass of wine, just to get out of the rain for a bit.. sounds plausible I’m sure 😂
Seriously, it was a shame, it was spectacular up there… it was softened once again with everyone getting given 2 free beer tickets for the beer station they were only small glasses, but there were about 5 different types to choose between..
Due to the increasing wind it was decided we’d go down an hour earlier than planned.. though the two girls from India and I were quite keen for it to be earlier than that!!!
All in all, despite the weather a fab day out..
Back to my usual dinner haunt, tonight it was seafood noodles and 2 bottles of Tiger beer.. £3.50.. and absolutely delicious…

  • Day 13

    October 30, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Big disappointment.. just had a message from the company I was due to go with tomorrow for my full day hike.. it’s cancelled 😞 due to the weather conditions, it was a safety issue..I’m so disappointed as this was the highlight of my week here….
As it wasn’t raining this morning, despite it being forecast , I headed off to explore a bit more of the smaller streets of the older area.. a bit of street walking 😂.. sounds mega boring i know, but it was actually fascinating and really cool..
It stayed dry until lunchtime, just as I made it to Roots for my lunch, i absolutely love this place..
My walk back was pretty damp, but not torrential… yet!!! My plastic coat came into its own.. it even has little eye visors! Bizarre, but made it back dry, or more importantly my rucksack did!
Spent a bit of time on the rooftop bar ( non alcoholic beverages only were consumed 😂 ) catching up on a few things.
Due to the now torrential rain, I ate close by, but still managed to get soaked despite it being only about a 20 second run away 😳😳
Another unbelievably good and ridiculously inexpensive dinner and beers enjoyed…
Unsure what to do with my day tomorrow now, will have to see how heavy it’s raining I guess..

  • Day 14

    October 31, 2024 in Vietnam ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Well… my planned adventure today was cancelled 😞 .. yes .. it was once again raining.. very heavily 🙄
So.. no hike!! Off I go to the 3D art gallery for the morning., it was actually really impressive, though I think it was necessary to be there with another person for the photographic value…
It was a bit weird when entering you had to leave your shoes.. but that said, due to my cut foot from my sliders I was actually quite happy to walk around it in bare feet 😂
The taxi driver that dropped me off there came back to pick me up.. a couple of cups of peppermint tea back at the hotel and the rain stopped!!!!!!! Off I go to the beach… unreal how it can be hammering down one minute and then so hot and sunny the next..
I hadn’t bothered with lunch , so after getting back and a shower, I was more than ready to go for dinner….. yep! off to the same place, my favourite food and my favourite people….
Huyen asked.. and helped me leave a review on Google.. I’d promised I would.. she told me she loved me and gave me a gift… i would have done it anyway, I’ve eaten there all week, the food and service have both been amazing 🤩
As it was my last night and I’d eaten earlier because I was soo hungry, I headed to the rooftop bar for a drink before calling it a day..
The people here, from hotel to restaurants / cafes/ taxis have all been absolutely amazing and the friendliest and most welcoming / helpful I’ve met anywhere.. I will return 😍

  • Day 15

    November 1, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Leaving day .. and.. YES! The sun is out, it’s not raining and it’s boiling hot 😂
My last morning in Vietnam and it’s sunny.. making the most of the weather and getting a bit of exercise in too, I headed to the beach pretty early and walked for just over 2 hours .. it’s a very long beach, also walking on the sand, which I normally hate, gave me the opportunity to walk barefoot again..great for my cut foot..
Suitably hot and exercised it was back to the hotel to shower , sort and pack my meagre belongings back into my tiny rucksack 😂
As I had a couple of hours until my pick up, I left my bag at the hotel and walked to Roots for a final lunch.. I’m seriously going to miss this place 🙁
All went smoothly with the taxi pick up to the airport ( always a worry I’ve booked the wrong day, week or time ) it was only on the way to the airport and we drove past the HCM museum that I realised just how far I walked back from it the other day, no wonder my sliders rubbed me pretty bad 🙄
Plane was on time, flight was good snd there I am back in HK snd Vietnam is history.
Joe met me at the airport, with take out dinner … and wine 🤪 that we ate at the pier waiting for the ferry..
It was a gorgeous evening on Lamma, and so was good to have the walk over from the village to Pak Kok before a cheeky episode of Ted Lasso….

Not much to write about today.. as we have a pretty busy week ahead, it was decided to just have a chilled catch up day today. I had washing to get sorted as some of it I need to take with me when we head off to Disney tomorrow
We eventually made it to the village for dinner, really enjoyed the walk over and up heart attack hill after a lazy day…
Fab footsteps Lamma Grill, then back for champagne.. get us!!! 🤪… and some serious Ted Lasso.. just the day we both needed I think ..

  • Day 16

    November 3, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Happy Sunday … Today started off with Joe and i heading off to Kate’s ( the other side of the village ) for yoga! It was different to classes I’ve done in the past, but good.
After yoga, Joe, Kate and I headed back to Kate and Daniel’s for lunch.. fabulous,.. they have such an amazing spot in the middle of banana trees and all sorts of incredible vegetation ( just means that I have no idea what everything was but it looked fabulous..
Following on from lunch , it was back to Joe’s to get sorted and head off to the ferry!!!
Having gone via Aberdeen and a brief wander round at Causeway Bay it was … OFF TO DISNEY!!!
Arrived and checked into Explorer’s Lodge .. very nice too.. before heading out for a walk and a cocktail / wine ( be rude not to .. obviously 🤪 ) before at Joe’s insistence got my “ Disney Ears “.. all prepped for tomorrow 😂😂

  • Day 17

    November 4, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

Well THE day has arrived.. yes, it’s DISNEY DAY!!…..
Did I mention that Joe had said it was my birthday!! It’s not, but I got given a badge, a birthday welcome card and cake!
Up and off early to be there ready for it to open.. a long day ahead of us…

The park really is beautiful, although I still believe nobody can do Disney like the Americans, I really did enjoy the lack of over enthusiasm and in your face it had..
First ride was Space Mountain ( or something similar ) I openly admit that I REALLY wasn’t looking forward to it, I’m not a rides person, they scare me, but mostly they make me feel sick 🤢… I managed 2 goes on this with my stomach just about staying intact, but it was a close thing.. I was extremely relieved to move on to something else…

Stony Grilch mountain was next… scary, but much better.. think I’m much better when i can see, the dark is disorientating and I just had to concentrate on deep breathing..
We actually ended up doing that one four times by the end of the day and I almost enjoyed the last time..

We did have a fabulous day, did all of the rides and shows on Joe’s list with only one disappointing one in frozen.. my favourite was Ant man and the Wasp..
The only thing I refused to do was the Tea Cups.. 🤢

The firework / laser display at the end was pretty amazing, but you’d expect nothing less from Disney really..

After a visit to the main shop we popped into Disneyland hotel for a couple of cocktails.. as you do 🤪 then back to ours and room service goes very late dinner.
A very long, but fabulous day…

  • Day 18

    November 5, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

Today was a bit of a chilled recovery / inbetween day.. we checked out of Disney at 11.. Joe wasn’t too sad as we’re off away again tomorrow on another mini adventure to Macau..
We took the longer route back.. walked to the MTR.. and once at Central got the bus to Aberdeen.. bit of shopping ( provisions ) and then the ferry to Pak Kok.,,
Bit of a chilled afternoon , caught up on washing etc., and then just hung out until heading off to the village for dinner.. despite being less than keen as I wasn’t feeling hungry, we had a fab Tapas selection at??? The Spanish place?? We’ve been there a few times, but I can’t remember the name.. great food, service and drink.. enjoyed the walk back, it’s unbelievable listening to all the sounds of the insects etc , so loud in the silence of the evening.. just amazing 🤩
Another episode of Ted.. only one to go 😩 and half of Tarzan ( I was annoyingly falling say 😬 ) and it’s off to bed… can’t believe tomorrow I will be down to my last 8 days.. where has that time gone 😳

Not many pictures today, the journey back to Pak Kok snd then the village.. I’ll try harder tomorrow …

  • Day 19

    November 6, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Up early this morning as I decided i wanted / needed to get out for a proper stomp before heading off on our next adventure, so it was off to Sol Kwu Wan.. it was a fab, morning, really warm, but not sunny.. perfect as it was pretty quiet too..

Back, sorted and showered before Joe got up, which was great as it meant I didn’t feel like I’d affected his day by going.

Late morning, all relevant puzzles done 😂 we headed off to get the ferry from Pak Kok to Aberdeen …and so began our journey to Macau..
After getting the bus to Kennedy Town we went for Dim Sum ( no idea how it’s spelled ) for lunch, Joe has been wanting to take me since I arrived.. it was good…👍🏼

Now a trip on the tram.. I love the tram, it’s amazing, before the Hydrofoil to Macau..
All is going well at this point….
We arrive in Macau .. yes, I’m allowed in and Joe is refused entry.. eek!!!
Because his HK residency card isn’t yet a permanent one, his passport was also required..oh dear! No passport !!
Long and the short of it, i headed off to the hotel and Joe had to return home to Lamma to get his passport!!

So I’m chilling with a glass of wine and he’s got about six hours of travel….😱
Hopefully to arrive before midnight 😳
Not exactly the evening planned, but it adds to the story 😃

  • Day 20

    November 7, 2024 in Macao ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Joe is here and I’m not having to explore Macau on my own which already makes today a Good Day!!
Spent a bit of time this morning chilling, reading on the balcony.. like you do !! 🤪
Weather was fab, view was fab etc.,
After sorting bus timetables and routes, we headed off for an early lunch , we were both ready for it as we hadn’t had anything ( well, we shared a bag of crisps ) since yesterday lunchtime..
We had an amazing lunch.. the largest mussels I’ve ever seen outside New Zealand..!!
Bus routes and times sorted we then found the bus stop and headed off to the main casino centre of Macau!!
WOW!!!! I guess it’s Las Vegas with class and style.. absolutely unbelievable!!!
The Venetian has a gondola that goes through the hotel, it actually looks like you’re in Venice! The shops and Casino are unreal.. it’s like it’s permanently dusk, there’s a false sky inside that looks unbelievably real and you genuinely don’t realise you’re inside.. the. Casino’s and shops etc., are open 24 / 7 and there are no clocks.. incredibly disorientating.. but AMAZING!!
We had a wander around there before going to the Londoner.. equally impressive. In there we went to the Harry Potter exhibition .. it was brilliant!
Having done that we wandered down to the Old Town, which was old style Portuguese, really lovely little streets, buildings, shops and restaurants.
Joe played dice with the waitress in the bar we popped into for a drink and won us free drinks.. it was quite bizarre…
Fab meal, lovely wine and a taxi back to the hotel.. both suitably tired and ready for our bathrobes 😂😂

    November 8, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Had a bit of a sit out on the balcony got an hour this morning before checking out of the largest hotel room I’ve ever been in..either the biggest bathroom!!
I’ve decided that I do love a bathrobe!! Who knew 😂.. not sure how I’ve lived without one thus far in my life.. possibly because it’s usually so cold and a fluffy dressing gown has been needed.. but.. I do love a bathrobe…

We returned to the Miramar for lunch, fabulous again, though I think I’m going to be returning home twice the size 😳
We decided against going back into casino land and headed to the Hydrofoil… we were both ready to just go home and chill out for the evening.

A few bits of shopping and two ferries later we were back in Pak Kok, .. home,!! .. it smelled and looked so green and fresh and felt so lovely after all the high rises and busyness of Macau and Hong Kong 😍

It was an evening of M&S sandwiches, Prosecco and pretzels watching the last episode of Ted Lasso and then Muana.. we definitely know how to live the wild life 😂

Not many pictures today, mainly an overload of the awesome sunset…

  • Day 22

    November 9, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ 🌬 26 °C

Another day in paradise .. except when I set out for my walk this morning it started raining.. I mean, how rude!!!
To be fair, it wasn’t heavy at all and only lasted the first half hour… but it did make me realise that I’ll soon be walking in the rain, wind and the cold with loads of layers on 😩

Lamma really is so beautiful and special, I think i could hide away here for months..
Can’t believe it’s nearly time to leave, it hardly seems anytime since i arrived with 4 weeks ahead of me.

For dinner this evening we went to Joe’s favourite place in HK. The good was fabulous, I had Halibut snd Joe had Squid ink risotto with scallops.. ££££
We decided to get a taxi back to Aberdeen so that we’d make the last ferry to Pak Kok.. omg! I seriously think the taxi driver had never driven before, it was unreal , I just started giggling and then couldn’t stop laughing, think it must have been nerves 😳

  • Day 23

    November 10, 2024 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

My last Sunday and Joe’s last day off work 😩
Sunday morning, chills, reading, squaredle ( v easy today ) catching up on laundry etc etc.,
Lunchtime we set off to Sok Ywu Wan for our last venture there together, probably to Joe’s relief as I seem to walk annoyingly quickly than is sociable.. it wasn’t sunny today, but it was very humid.. I’m comfortable with humid and my knees love it..

Fabulous lunch ( again ) at the peach garden.. very veg heavy which I obviously loved.. so much food we had to bring some of it home with us 😂
Back to Loso Kitchen for a cheeky Sunday drink.. I had noticed that they had Old Peculiar.. who’d have imagined that !!! So it would have been rude to go home without having one 😂
