    Day 25

    Well.. I guess today was my last full day on Lamma, what a beauty it was too.. on my walk this morning I was trying to take it all in and my pictures were versions of what I’d taken before, but I just wanted to remember it all..

    Although it was no hotter today, it was much sunnier.. i couldn’t believe how quickly my walk went this morning, probably because I didn’t want it to, i really can’t believe my time here has come to an end, I’ve actually felt quite emotional about leaving…

    I’ve also taken lots more photos of the view from Joe’s rooftop area, the views from there really are amazing and are constantly changing with the sun / light snd clouds.. I’ll miss how alive, green and vibrant it is…
    My knees too will miss here, i haven’t needed to take any of my supplements the entire time and they feel great..

    Tomorrow is supposed to be wet and the day after a Typhoon, guess I’ve been really lucky with such amazing weather whilst I’ve been here… makes up for all the rain in Vietnam 😂    Leer más

    Day 26

    Well here I am sat in the airport with an hour until my flight boards..though there’s a Typhoon warning and you’re not allowed outside for safety reasons!! I do hope my flight goes.. Joe is made up as he doesn’t have to go into work tomorrow and a work from home!!

    Today has been the first day of heavy rain I’ve had in HK , I debated on whether to walk this morning as I didn’t want wet stuff..
    Due to having a long fly this evening, i decided to go, so set off with an umbrella !!! Obviously that meant it stopped raining after 15 minutes and I had to carry it for the next hour and 45 minutes..
    It was a bonus walk this morning as I hadn’t anticipated being able to go.

    Walk done, showered and packing sorted i decided to head the ferry a bit early as there was another gap in the rain and I figured I’d be slower than usual walking there either way my heavy rucksack as well as my small rucksack…
    Ferry’s went smoothly, now to see if I could check my bag in early at the In Town check in… sometimes it’s not straightforward when it’s a rucksack.. but YESSSSS!!!!!
    Amazingly helpful staff and off I go minus heavy rucksack!

    Met up with Joe after work and we went for a rather nice Italian meal , a couple of beers will hopefully help me fall asleep on the plane.. along with the 30 odd thousand steps I’ve done today….

    Well here I am.. home!!!
    I’ve now been up for 48 hours, with at most 2 hours sleep on the plane 😳

    The flight out of Hong Kong was pretty bumpy to start with, possibly due to the Typhoon, but soon settled down and was great the rest of the way to Manchester..
    By the time I’d retrieved my bag I just wanted to get home and not wait another 8 hours for the Iom flight.. so….
    I checked to see if there was an earlier flight and booked myself on it,! … yep! It could only happen to me.. after paying for another flight, it goes and gets delayed for 2 hours 🙄🙄

    On the bright side, I’m now home 😃 having read a 567 page book in under 12 hours… bonus being a Chinese take away tea with Finn and Laura.. happy days…
