Let’s go!
Day 1 - Birmingham ➡️ Calais

Day 2 - Calais ➡️ Aosta

The obligatory meal at Pizzeria El Paso after a hellish crossing of the Monte Bianco tunnel where there was a two-hour delay 🏔️🚘🚇. The Monte Bianco glacier has retreated so much in recentMeer informatie
Day 3 - Aosta

Day 3 - Lac de Loson

Day 4 - Aosta-Pila

Day 5 - Genova

Nope. Genova just doesn’t do it for me. Never did, even all those times I went as a kid. Nope nope nope. 👎🏻
Day 5 - Calci

Dreamy, simply dreamy.
Day 5 - Pisa

Dinner at Ristoro Dantesca - delicious (and very expensive).
Day 6 - Pisa

Lunch at I Porci Comodi. The porchetta was to die for.
Day 6 - Pisa

Leaning tower (stunning) in 38• heat. Never again, unless it’s winter 🥵.
Day 6 - Seravezza

A very cool swim in the Polle di Malbecco. Crystal-clear water pools and waterfalls courtesy of the Versilia river. Perfect to cool down from the oppressing heat.
Day 6 - Pisa

A quick pizza at Pizzeria L’Arancio.
Day 7 - Livorno➡️Olbia

Shipping 🚢 off to Sardinia 🌊🌊🌊
Day 7 - Tyrrhenian Sea

On the sea 🌊, with the La Maddalena archipelago (Emerald Coast) in the distance.
Day 7 - Marceddì

Marceddì is utterly magical. It’s an old fishing village lost in time. Our house is 10 metres from the sea.
Day 8 - Arborea

Not much done today. A bit of shopping followed by sleeping and eating a home-made meal of horse meat and pork schnitzel eaten outside our house on the lagoon 🌙✨🌌. Oh, and a few non-human visitors!
Day 9 - Torre Di Flumentorgiu

The Sardinian sea never, ever disappoints. The cleanliness of the beach and the water was something I had yet to encounter. And the sunset…so romantic 💕.
Day 9 - Marceddì

A wonderful seafood dinner at Locanda Su Pasu; old-fashioned look, but incredible food and superb waiter service.
Day 12 - Marceddì➡️Sant’Antioco Island

Day 12 - Calasetta

Day 17 - Is Praneddas

Is this paradise? Must be 😍. Swimming under the Arch of Kisses 💋.
Day 19 - Olbia➡️Livorno

Bye bye, Sardinia. I’ll go cry in a corner now!
Day 19 - Tyrrhenian Sea

Love a ship trip 🚢⚓️
Day 20 - Dogliani

The stunning Langhe where most of Italy’s wine is produced.
