In it's day,
Enemies could seige it, nay,
The armies were strong,
And it was quite a throng,
The gladiators fought,
For the freedom they sought,
The Colosseum stood tall,
As did the magnificent Pantheon hall,
Up the Tiber their ships came,
And two thousand years later it still is the same,
