Electrical!

So there have been a few teething issues to be sorted out. Andrew, the PO, had already ordered replacements for somethings that were glitchy so today the electronics guy came and installed the new inverter (generates 220V AC from our batteries). The previous unit was glitching and service attempts had failed.

But there is a glitch in the BMS (the battery has an internal computer called a BMS) and so we’re having trouble getting the state of charge to be visible. But nothing critical and we’ve got a few more things to try.

It should update once per hour when we run the Starlink (but we will probably turn it off half the time so don’t panic!). Nice thing with that one is that it also shows the current wind conditions around the boat.

Alain got delayed so won’t get here until the 2nd so got a few more days before I have to put the cap on the toothpaste. Must buy a pillow - not going to survive a month with a rolled up jacket!Read more
