When the wind stops and the forecast doesn’t show any signs of improvement we eventually realize it’s time to burn diesel. We motored for the last 24h, glued to every new weather forecast in the hopes of an improvement. This boat is not made to motor - she is loud! The PO did a lot of work to try and improve that (I can’t imagine what it was like before) but there is no escaping it. I tried to sleep on the bow nets this evening but it didn’t really work.
Thankfully, about an hour ago a little breeze came in. Only about 10kn, which permits us to make 5-7kn, but in the right direction and without the noise.
