    New orleans

    September 9, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Hi, today we took a bus and a train down town and walked along the Mississippi River. We stopped so we could take a paddle boat tour. On the boat tour we saw some special ships that Jared thought were army ships but were actually roll on, roll off cargo ships. We went to the frount of the cathedral but sadly it was closed. We went down bourbon, it was crazy... I loved it. In bourbon street there was a lot of shops and poor people and some buskers. The next day we went back to the cathedral and it was open, yay. In the cathedral it was very cold and quiet we were able to buy and light a candle for somebody or something. We hade a look around and on the roof there were beautiful markings about some story's of Jesus. Next we had Popeyes, personally we didn't like it, we all thought KFC was better... #loveKFC. After Popeyes we tried to go back bet ended up taking a tram that went round the garden district, apparently it is the oldest running tram. That after noon we went to the pool and had a massive swim while mum and dad where packing. On the third and final day we woke up early so we could go on a alligator swamp tour. My first impression was 'this is cool' because we saw a baby alligator at the boat ramp just swimming and chilling. On the tour we saw the guy feed the alligators marshmallows because they will eat anything small and white thing that's floating on the water so... marshmallows. On the tour we went down three different rivers and a small little one. In the little river we saw some raccoons and the guy called for the pigs. After the swamp tour we drove back up to Texas and then to Houston. That's all bye.Read more
