Day 14 - A hair-raising experience

We arrived in Bangkok at 06:45 , after our 05:30 wake-up call. Despite it being a very bumpy train ride we both got a reasonable amount of sleep. By 08:30 we were in our hotel having breakfast.
Activities for the rest of the day included:
- a walk around old Bangkok visiting the Giant Swing (which was missing an actual swing), browsing the huge display of guns for sale in the 'gun quarter', and chatting with a local in the park;
- catching up with Abi and Mike on their few days in Cambodia,
- a visit to Lumphini Park to see the monitor lizards;
- drinks at the sky park on top of the Dusit Shopping Centre;
- a river cruise with dinner; and
- a hair-raising ride in a tuk-tuk back to our hotel with the fastest tuk-tuk driver in Bangkok.
