Exploring Bologna

We got up early to take the 10:25 train to Bologna. Venice is lovely but why not eat lunch in the food capital of Italy?

When we arrived in Bologna, there was a collection of Mickey Mouse statues waiting to greet us.

Since our challenge didn't start until evening, we found a great place to rent bikes and got a chance to explore the town a bit. We climbed to the top of this 400 ft medieval tower with great views of the town.

Since it was Canada Day, we all sang the Canadian National Anthem. Well, the Canadians in our group sang, the rest of us just hummed along. There are now videos of this performance winging around the world due to all the other tourists who recorded us!Läs mer
