• Journey to London

    Rosie drove us over 3 hours on the dual carriageways and motorways (i.e., divided highways and freeways) to the outskirts of London where we picked up a train. On the way we got to sample the finest in English roadside service areas and got stuck in a giant roundabout that was stuck in gridlock. Good thing I misdirected Rosie so that we got to do the gridlocked roundabout one and a half times instead of just one half.

    The word of the day was affable.

    When we finally boarded the train I did NOT "mind the gap" and managed to do a faceplant right onto the train. Spoiler alert, I did not have any lasting damage to my body or to my eyeglasses, but it did shake me up for a bit.
