Atlanta airport

Flight was fine. Exit row has lots of legroom. This airport is huge. After landing, we taxied for a long time. We must have passed 7-8 terminals….all totally Delta. I got off at gate E and ride the tram a long way to get to baggage claim. I’m not even sure this is my flight I’m waiting by the carousel for.
Oh, it was and I got my bag.
My brother just texted and said my mom missed her flight and is now taking red eye. 😞
I feel so bad for her. That kind of stuff can be really tough for her.
He will come pick me up now.
I watched two movies on the plane: Last Breathe and Mamma Mia (Pierce Brosnan can’t sing). Both were Meh.
Gonna just walk around for about 45 min in baggage claim till he gets here.Read more

Successfully picked up my mom at the airport . The Girls are up and active. Humid out, but I went for a short walk in their neighborhood. They have a nice house in a nice neighborhood with a nice Clubhouse area.Read more

Frog Rock Disc Golf

Steve and I went here today. It was new course for each of us. It boasts the shadiest and flattest in Atlanta area. It was a good way for me to do my first full course since Sept ‘24. It was pretty hot and humid so being in sun was rough.
Fairly short holes with only one par 4 (the sign photo). I had some good shots, some medium shots, and bad ones. See score card pic.
I tried to take it easy and not over do it. I’ll see how things are in morning. I think I’ll be ok with some Aleve. 😉Read more

Nora’s birthday!

Today is Nora’s birthday. She woke up a bit grumpy but doing ok now. Opened some more gifts after breakfast then had some milk and down for a nap.

We went here for lunch. It’s basically a food court type place. So everyone got what they wanted and met in the middle to share a big table.
I had a falafel salad.
Then we walked to a nearby coffee shop to get the girls a birthday steamed milk with vanilla, supposedly tastes like liquid ice cream.

Parents are pooped after long day of keeping up with the girls, and dealing with lots of company. Company is down to us now.

After a couple fussy moments after their nap, they are settling into food time. Today is Bea’s birthday.
My mom, brother and I are trying our best to care for the girls while Colin and Emily work.
I went for a walk in the morning before it got too hot.

Steve’s birthday
June 18 in the United States ⋅ 🌩️ 81 °F
Today is my brother’s birthday. He went for a bike ride this morning. The girls are at day care and parents at work so it seems uber quiet here. My mom and I are making him a Boston creme pie for tonight. We will go to dinner after they all get home.
I went for a walk this morning. Will have to get back into my exercise routine when I get home.
I’ll add more photos later.

Photos added from the Italian restaurant we went to. One video of the cake my mom and I made. It turned out just ok although flavors were good. Cake was a bit dry. There was a misunderstanding between me and the timer. I also had an issue with my video of us singing happy birthday. It has been a reoccurring issue this trip I’ll need to figure out soon.
I got the pasta dish (pollo basilico) and my brother got veal I think.
It was good.
Didn’t sleep hardly at all that night, possibly due to the chocolate close to bedtime. 🥱

Atlanta airport again

Waiting for our flight to board to Denver. Hoping to avoid thunderstorms. We had several yesterday.
Saw some fireflies and cardinals on the trip.
Plan to watch my downloaded movies on way home. Unfortunately my mom can’t login to her app so can’t see any shows.
