Day 15 - Yalgoo Museum, Cue and Walga Rock

We commenced the day visiting the Yalgoo museum. The cot that grandfather built and has been passed down to
Grandchildren (Jill) is now housed in the museum donated by my Aunty Jean. Tgg hi e wedding pictures, certificates and other bits belong to Tiny Hope, my grandmothers cousin. I remember meeting Tiny when growing up. She lived in Yalgoo for many years and even in the 1960s had dirt floors. Headed off to Cue 200k up the road. Got to about 40k out of Cue and got stuck behind massive overloaded trucks carrying massive ore trucks up to the mines. The load was 8 m wide.

Dropped van off in the caravan park snd headed out to Walga Rock. It is the second largest monolith in Australia and has the largest collection of Aboriginal rock art. The interesting one is the drawing of a sailing ship that does not look like the other drawings.
We had a climb up the rock as it is only 45 m high, still a hard slog though. Stunning views.
I got some really good drone footage, just need to edit and post it. We were going to visit Big Bell Ghost town but getting late and would be dark by the time we got home so will visit tomorrow
