Day 48 Coober Pedy

Had some very heavy downpours last night. Opened the van door this morning and was confronted with a bloody big puddle where there was no dry exit for me. Our muck mat had drifted away and my sandals had drifted somewhere. Found out muck mat under the neighbour’s van and my sandals near the other neighbours vehicle( on a side note, would love the neighbours dual cab Ute, a Chevy Silverado z71 6.2l v8 beast). Got a refund for the night and moved to a drier site. Off we went to explore Coober Pedy. Checked out the “Old Timers Mine”. It was really good. Would have been a hard life mining here in the early days but potential huge rewards. The town is pretty ordinary and restaurants on the lower end of the star rating but they is all there is on offer here. We were thinking of staying another day but think we will choof off and head south tomorrowЧитать далее
