Day 1 Cairo P1 Trip from airport

After landing, it took over two hours to get through passport control and customs. Then, we had a long wait for the bus. Once we were gathered with the Trip-Deal group, it took about an hour to reach the hotel. The drive was filled with endless apartments stretching as far as we could see, from high-end real estate to slum areas.

In Cairo’s slums, people live in tombs dating back to around 500 AD, with the poor converting these old cemeteries into housing.

The hotel feels a bit like a scene from Fawlty Towers—probably a three-star, but it will do.
