Day 9 A day at GEM P1

Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)
We took an Uber to the new museum, which cost about 100 Egyptian Pounds (around $1.35 USD). Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring my Insta 360 inside and had to leave it at the security counter. The museum is huge, though not all exhibits are open yet—the King Tut section is still closed. It’s impressive, with so much to see, but honestly, we’re starting to feel a bit “statued out.” Moving on!

Egypt’s Roads
Driving in Egypt is an adventure. Road rules seem to be more of a suggestion here; in fact, sticking strictly to them might mean you’ll never reach your destination. A two-lane road often ends up holding three or four cars across, with most drivers straddling the lane markings. It’s wild!
