    What a gem this find is. All caravan parks in Barossa and Clair regions booked out. Managed to snag two nights here. Peter and Sue welcome you on arrival and show you to your site. Probably the friendliest most welcoming hosts we have come across so far. You can have power and water or unpowered. The working shearing shed has kitchen, toilet and shower. Very strong lanolin smell though. There is a Ferret scout car on the farm. It was built in 1950, Peter did it up and used to drive it at local Anzac Day ceremonies. There is also a catapillar 1500 sitting in the shed, second model catapillar ever built, about 100 years old.Leia mais

    Did a quick tour around Barossa. Visited the Whispering Wall aka Barossa Reservoir. It has a parabolic effect where you can have a normal conversation with each other 140m apart on each edge of the dam. Quick visit to Maggie Beers and a bit of a look around the towns. Back to the farm for the evening. What a fantastic site. Got some great night shots just using the iPhoneLeia mais

    Dropped the van off at Broadford and headed down to Melbourne for a few days. Hey Victoria the state of your main road from Melbourne to SA (A8) is atrocious. It was not safe driving with the caravan attached at 100kph. Motorcross tracks would be proud to have whoop de do’s like you have . For those who don’t know whoop de do’s think giant corregations or corrugated iron effect on the road that causes the car and caravan to bounce widely sometimes front wheels seem to lift off road.
