    We got a break :)
It was market in town and so we all enjoyed shopping, some more than others (i only bought a necklace 💁🏽‍♀️)
In the afternoon we went for a walk on the beach to a waterfall, took thousands of photos and joined a cooking class.
First time i cut a cocoa fruit and suck the little beans, really delicious, but don’t bit on them they are really bitter!

    December 2, 2018 in Costa Rica ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Leaving Montezuma wasn’t easy but with my new friends by my side it was ok to move on. We all stayed in Santa Teresa, little surf town, to slowly find our way back to reality, without a full schedule of yoga, learning, meditating and reading :)
So we enjoyed days on the beach, drunk beer and just hang around!

Time to leave the Nicosya peninsula and explore other parts of Costa Rica!
Two girls from the YTT joined me, so we rented a car and drove to the mountains of Monteverde.
The streets on the peninsula are so bad and we have to cross more than 6 rivers, adventure pure!
At the end we were rewarded with amazing views, colors, light and a stunning sunset!

  • Monteverde Cloud Forest

    December 6, 2018 in Costa Rica ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Monteverde is a nationalpark where it is often cloudy and rainy because it’s so high. We decided to go for a hike by ourselves in the cloud forest.
The jungle was so green, peaceful, quiet and diverse.
Afterwards we had late lunch in an organic fusion costa rican restaurant. I decided to go with a proper Burger, the blue color suprised me but it was delicious :)
The most exciting part of the day is still coming ...

  • jungle night walk

    December 6, 2018 in Costa Rica ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

We enjoyed again a beautiful sunset on our observation deck close to our Airbnb. Happy us, no rain in 2days!
Then we started our night walk in the jungle organized by a company/with a guide.
I was so f*** scared! I hate walks in the dark especially in the jungle, but I wanted to see all the animals and be brave!
So 2,5h walking with flash lights, sometimes without, standing in the dark waiting, hearing all this sounds...my heart was beating so fast!
But it was worth it and I’m proud of myself!

  • Rio Celeste

    December 7, 2018 in Costa Rica ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Continuing our trip to Rio Celeste, a waterfall so unreal blue, in the Volcano Nationalpark. The reason why the water has this color is that two rivers flow together and there ph number, temperature and sulfur content is so different that a chemical reaction happens. Unfortunately it rained in the morning, this is why we didn’t see the true blue color. But it was really pretty and interesting nevertheless, also the hike is quite nice.Read more

  • La Fortuna

    December 8, 2018 in Costa Rica ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

The girls trip ended in La Fortuna, a little town with a great view with a volcano behind.
Close by are hot springs, where you can relax. There is also a park where you can watch the cute sloths hanging in the trees. It’s not so easy to spot them but we were lucky!
They are soooo cute, sleeping 20hours a day and doing nothing the rest of the day, what a life :)

  • Panama City

    December 17, 2018 in Panama ⋅ 🌬 31 °C

I strolled through the city, walking isn’t a thing there, but i don’t want to spent money on uber all the time. For me this city has no character and isn’t really nice, everywhere skyscraper except in the old part, Casco Viejo.
Also didn’t really find nice places to hang for a coffee , so yeah I would say skip this city if you not need to and if, stay in casco viejo!

  • Playa Venao

    December 19, 2018 in Panama

Off to the pacific coast to finally learn surfing!
Playa Venao is THE spot and quickly i understand why :)
The bay is really smooth and the waves perfect for beginners. I didn’t expect to stand on my first day!!!
I had every day two lessons, one early in the morning, second one late afternoon.
My highlight was the last session, I spend 3 hours in the water, first my lesson than hanging out with friends watching the sunset and the rising full moon at the same time. Unforgettable moment without a phone to take pictures, just laying on my surfboard, seeing the sky turning from blue to yellow to pink to...
Who had thought that I would enjoy so many hours IN the water! (at last me 😜)

  • 2 days on the open sea

    December 28, 2018, Caribbean Sea

The San Blas islands are close to Panama, this is why we need to spend 2 days sailing to Colombia, 2 days on the open sea!
We started a little bit later than planned because the sea was to rough and the wind to strong. This time I had to fight hard against seasickness, my stomached felt really uneasy. Lying on deck and looking in the sky helped and after 6h I was luckily fine. The highlight for me was sleeping outside, secured by a seat belt, below thousands of stars sliding from on side to the other because of the high waves! Lastly we were also blessed by dolphins playing with the boat for a while!Read more
