Upon checking into the hotel, Butters immediately starts gaming and proceeds to accidentally punch the TV…seriously!!! After a few minutes trying to calm my nerves, we walk down to the front desk to tell them what happened. They were understanding and said the manager would contact us in 3 or 4 days. Needless to say, Butters will be in payback mode when we return from this trip!Read more

Butters and Sydney also enjoyed driving Lolo’s loaner Lexus and now swear that this is the kind of car they will both own in the future.

  • Our First Dinner Aboard

    June 23, 2024, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ☁️ 82 °F

We were assigned to the 5th Avenue Dining Room for dinner. There are a lot of Filipino people here and the food selection was amazing. We started with salmon poke bowl appetizers and most of us had prime rib. Butters, who wanted to try something new, had the calamari steak. The dessert selection had a lot of variety as well. So far we have been pleasantly impressed with all of the food. We were also serenaded with a Filipino tune.Read more

Our first stop is the MSC private island, Ocean Cay. We will have an overnight stay here and can remain on the island until 11:30 PM. It’s nice to be able to use your drink package on the island and there are beach huts serving plenty of food and drinks. It looked like it might rain with the dark clouds in the background, but thankfully, we just got a light drizzle.Read more

Enjoying the first sea day with the Tour de Brunch where we enjoyed fare from Italy, Japan, and France. I wish we could have tried all the counties, and it sounds like we will have another opportunity at the second season day.

We then escaped to the Aurea Spa to relax aka fall asleep and maximize the amenities like the salt room, snow room, hot tub, steam room, sauna, and the variety of showers.

Somehow we missed that it was 80’s night, but we enjoyed our dinner nonetheless and hit the variety show after dinner.
