It was an adventure just getting to the Atlanta airport. Even in the early morning, we experienced traffic and tons of people, and then a flight delay. Our first time flying Frontier, we crammed 5 days of clothes into a 14x18x8’ bag to avoid any bag fees. After only a 3.5 hour flight, we arrived at PUJ and breezed through immigration since we were able to avoid baggage claim. We boarded our shuttle to the beautiful Hyatt Sunscape Coco where we met the first street vendor who sold us our first cerveja in the DR 🍺Read more

Checking in and Checking out 😴😴😴

Checking in took a bit of time, but we were warmly welcomed by everyone at the resort. After getting settled in, we checked out with some serious beach naps under our palm tree bungalow 🏝️

🥢 Chopsticks 🥢

The first night’s dinner at Chopsticks. Sydney had the almond chicken and I had the Schezuan fish with spring rolls and nigiri. We rounded out dinner with some fried ice cream 🍨 Yum! The service and the food were top notch.

After dinner we watched the Latina musical production and walked around the resort.Read more

Visiting Dreams Resort and New Friends

We got roped into a visit to the sister resort,
Dreams…and it was an amazing place. We enjoyed a monster breakfast there and toured the resort. After coming back to our resort, and dealing with a security issue, we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon at the beach and the pool. Sydney met a friend from Ohio who joined us for dinner and dancing.Read more

Happy Mother’s Day to ME!

Mother’s Day started with a champagne breakfast, pool time, then a few hours at the Sunscape Spa for facials, pedicures, and a scalp massage. We rounded out the afternoon under a beach umbrella.

Upgrade!

We spent the afternoon on the beach people
watching and napping. Due to some AC issues and someone with some sticky fingers in our room, we received a room upgrade to the Sun Club and complimentary massages for tomorrow. The adult only side of the resort is so relaxing and peaceful. What an awesome way to round out my Mother’s Day. ❤️Read more

Sun Club Style 😊

The Sun Club has been hard to beat! We started with an early day at the adult only pool, then a trip to the spa for massages, the drinks and lunch on the beach before getting ready for dinner at Tierra, the place for Amazonian cuisine.Read more

The last night

Unfortunately Tierra was closed so we snooped around and took some funny pictures before going to the Italian restaurant for dinner. After dinner we took some pictures at the resort and then had our Kahlua nightcap before hitting the sack.Read more
