Coober Pedy

This year, our experience at Coober Pedy was a bit different. Instead of the torrential rain, freezing cold temps and howling winds we got a stunning cloudless sky and a nice hot day.

We decided to find a spot to park the van and walk around town, we checked out some of the old sites and some new ones. While you are in Coober Pedy you can’t go pass an Underground Mine and house tour. This year, we opted for a self-guided one. The boys thoroughly enjoyed following the map through all the twisting and turning underground tunnels and reading all the information at the different stopping points.
