    Burdekin River Free Camp

    June 19, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

On the way to Charters Towers, we passed a crop that had been harvested. We could not believe our eyes, it was full of Brolgas, hundreds of them. So we pulled up and grabbed a few pics, but it was extremely hard to capture how many were really there.

After a few hours at the skate park, we grabbed water and headed out to the free camp. Lots of people, but very spacious. We went for a walk, checked out the river and the train bridge.

We decided to try something a bit different for breakfast, fresh quail eggs. They were so tiny, so we made tiny toast to have them on. We got three each 🤣, but everyone thought they were yummy.
