Magnetic Island - Florence Bay Again

After breakfast, we could not resist coming back to Florence Bay, the crystal clear water, snorkeling and fish feeding was calling us back.

This time, we headed out to explore the reef. Again crystal clear water and such a healthy reef, teaming with fish.

But the highlight of the trip begun during lunch. Lachlan was putting food over the edge (again) and then out of nowhere there were about 20 bat fish, gar fish, darts and yellow spotted cod. They were coming right up to the boat and eating bread and noodles from our hands. So many more than yesterday. We quickly finished our lunch and jumped in. We were surrounded by fish! Watching the bat fish up close eating from your hand was an unforgettable moment, they were so friendly we could pat them. No-one wanted to leave! But of course we had too!

After a quick wash, the boat and us, we pulled up to Bluewater Camp to go through our footage.

We can’t wait to plan our next boating adventure, note to self, pack lots of bread 🤣.Les mer
