Day 13: Canal Creek to Nolan’s Crossing

We were all fresh from our swim at Twin Falls when we hit Sam’s creek water crossing, not even 2kms from our camp.

Our car was in the lead, I jumped out to film. Brett dropped into the water crossing and the car started to stop. Oh Faaark! We were stuck, the water was half way up the car and we were not prepared.

Brett and the kids climbed out the windows, Ben and Jared came running and Tom took another track around to get ready to pull us out!

The water leaked in and was above the seats, everyone was running around grabbing straps and shackles and after 10 very long minutes we were out!

Lachie opened the door and the contents of our car along with a lot of water came gushing out 😬.

The moment of truth was starting the car, it started, phew.

A quick dip to calm the nerves and wash off the sweat and then we were onto the next challenge.Weiterlesen
