Bratislava, Slovakia

After taking trains around Germany and Poland for the last five weeks, I'm now on a bus to Slovakia. The bus will take about the same amount of time to go from Krakow to Bratislava, but I don't have the same amount of space, I'm feeling a bit of motion sickness from all the turns, and I can't use my laptop like I could on the train. Trains are definitely my preference now, and there hasn't been too much difference in price.

Bratislava is a modern oasis where old meets new. It is so different to the rest of Slovakia we drove through. The mix of Austrian and Hungarian influence on it over the centuries can be seen.Read more
