Budva, Montenegro

Budva is a nice coastal town in Montenegro. I had a nice walk around their beach and into the Old Town. Old Town had a nice feel to it as I made my way through the small stone alleyways filled with shops cafes, bars and restaurants. The sun was setting as I left casting much of the city in a molten orange. In the evening I met with Alen, a local from Podgorica. We went up to a beautiful old but well kept monastery in the hills surrounding Budva, then Alen took me up to a lookout above the ex-resort island of Sveti Stefan for some wine. Budva was aglow from there. The lookout is based at a place that 200 years ago a monk painstakingly made stone steps from the sea level to this side of the mountain.Weiterlesen
