The Residenz, royal palace in Munich

Today we visited the Munich Residenz, which is the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria. They lived here between 1508 and 1918. The Residenz is the largest city palace in Germany and has over 150 rooms! All the rooms are opulent and the level of amassed wealth and detail in each of the rooms is astounding. Although parts of the palace were damaged during WWII it has been well restored. King Charles and Camilla had a royal reception here 2 weeks ago.
