• Wanderings to Lincoln Park Zoo

We were both too wired after our late night river walk last night for an early night. Dave nodded off about 11 and I was midnight.

Up again 7.30am as we need to start getting up a little earlier 😂. Today’s planned activity was to walk to Lincoln Park Zoo. It is free admission with gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys, penguins, pigmy hippo, zebras, crocodile and much much more.

We walked the streets to the zoo then the lakeshore on the way back (in the snow).

The zoo was amazing, we got to see gorillas, something both of us have never seen before.

The walk along the lakeshore didn’t disappoint either especially in the snow.

Just before Navy Pier we headed back into Michigan Ave and had lunch at Chick-fil-a which all Americans seem to rave about. Yes it was nice but nothing spectacular. The only reason we wanted to try it was it has gluten free options.

We stopped off at Jewel-Osco grocery stores to get more dinners for our last nights here before heading back to the room for a rest.

Just before dinner we headed out to walk the opposite way along the Riverwalk. Man I love this place.

    We walked 17.2kms today.
