Got up, breakfast across the road & did some laundry. Got the tram to circular quay, saved us a walk down. Walked through the Quays to the opera house. Tours had sold out but we were able to go inside and have a look but not the auditorium. We walked around the edge to the front of the opera house which have some iconic views. It is very impressive. Did some retail therapy, & tram back to hotel to wait for Jack & Paige, and despite their 4 hr delay and us looking out for them they suddenly appeared. So lovely to see them as we haven’t see Paige since last October. . We went back on the tram to circular Quay so they could see the bridge & Opera house, then caught the ferry to Manly. Great ferry ride to manly.. and once there took a paddle in the sea. The bars were heaving being the last Friday before Christmas. We found a roof top Mexican and had a tower of margaritas, though perhaps they forgot to put the alcohol in! After dinner we got the ferry back in the sunset, there is a light show in the sails of the opera house but having hung around nothing seemed to be happening so went back to the hotel.Read more
