Beaches on the Crozon peninsula

It's our last full day in France and we set out on our most adventurous drive yet to sample the beaches on the Crozon peninsula some two hours away from Roscoff.

Having read good reviews of the beach 'Plage du Ris' just outside the port of Douarnenez we pitched the tent ready for a days sunbathing.

The tide was going out but this enhanced the breakers and we had great fun jumping into waves which were over our heads. It reminded me of the times we spent in Cornwall body surfing as kids.Read more
