  • Day 2 - St. David's

    January 11, 2016 in Wales ⋅ 🌙 6 °C

Very wet over night which continued until mid - morning so scuppered our plans for a walk so we decided to take a trip to St. Davids to see the cathedral. Weather this afternoon was dry although cold.

  • Day 3 - walk from Amroth

    January 12, 2016 in Wales ⋅ ⛅ 6 °C

Fortunately the weather aloud us to do our first walk of the week. It was very wet under foot but stayed dry for our 8 mile walk. Good views from the coastal path.

  • Day 5 - Tenby to Amroth

    January 14, 2016 in Wales ⋅ ⛅ 4 °C

Very cold last night and the roads were very icy in the morning. Walking to catch the bus to Tenby we came across an accident where a car had spun off the road. The police where there plus a bus driver who informed us the 9:30 bus no longer runs due to recent cuts and so we would have to wait to 11:10 for the next bus. Which we did, getting into Tenby at 12 pm.
By the time we started walking the sun was out and we followed the coastal path to Saundersfoot where we had a well deserved fish and chip lunch. The tide was out so we walked along the beach past Wiseman's Bridge arriving back at Amroth around 4 pm.

  • Day 6 - The walk that never was

    January 15, 2016 in Wales ⋅ 🌙 4 °C

We had planned to walk around the lakes at Bosherston but unfortunately they were flooded and so all the bridges were underwater. Instead we ate at the St Govan's Inn and then drove to Pembroke to walk around the Mill Pond below the castle. To end the day we played another visit to Manorbier.Read more
