palacio de san Telmo

this former palace built in 1600s - baroque has a charrigurresque arch entrance. it was started in 1682 outside the city walls. today it has government offices.there are statues of famous sevillians ar the side on top.

there is a 2nd building wich we missed, close by which is the former factory -Real Fábrica de Tabacos de Sevilla- of Bizet's opera carmen fame. at one time it was the largest employer in the city employing over 10000 women. built in 1728. today it is part of the university of Seville since 1949.もっと詳しく
