the cathedral tix included entry to the big red church- san salvadore- also on the footprint of the former first mosque of Seville 800-1200. it is the 2nd largest church in seville built in the 1700s and very baroque. the square in front was full of rangers fans o various states of rivalry before the bug game at 930 pm tonight. many of the chapels here have removable statues that are then installed on the mary floats and paraded during holy week - semana santa- . st Christopher is the statue where he carries christ across the river. st christopher is patron saint of travellers. we were lucky when we left that we were exiting by the old orange patio, part of the mosque.
