190 foot tall free standing cross. Surrounding the base of the cross are life-sized statues of the 14 Stations of the Cross.

Stations of the Cross describe the Way of the Cross; this is also called Way of Sorrows (Via Crucis). This refers to a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion and accompanying prayers. The stations were made from imitations of Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem which is believed to the be the actual path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary. The object of the stations is to help the Christian faith to make a spiritual pilgrimage through the Passion of Christ.Läs mer
