• OMG We are on the plane.

    August 1 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

What an ordeal. Arrive at airport check in, they have no information about pats wheelchair or battery. Then proceed to tell us they have no hoist to lift pat into the seat, and have no staff that will assist, so myself and Barb will have to carry him in.
More waiting, then after physically checking his wheelchair batteries tell us they are to higher voltage and not aloud on the plane at all !!
    Devastation!!
After complete disbelief and our hearts sinking into our stomachs, another guy doubled checked em and realised they are not lithium and are fine to travel.
All info was all pre sent way prior to booking the flights but insisted they had nothing.
    Thanks emirates.
More waiting as they served pretty much every other passenger while we waited for our boarding passes.
Finally got them to be sent through customs to find the lift at the end is not working so backtracked and up several ramps to the gates level where the bars are located but of course are all closed!!!
Finally time to board where Barb and I lift Pat into the isle chair then again into the plane seat.
Lucky Pat brought his own emergency harness lift for us to use as emirites had nothing.
But alas we are about to take off.
    Hoo bloody. Ray.
